HOMEMADE THE BIG OF MEATBALLS



 Here’s a fun way to eat your favorite meatball, make it giant sized, nestle it in a pool of homemade marinara, top it with fresh ricotta, basil and olive oil, then just make sure you have some crispy, crunchy bread to soak up all that sauce. It’s a meal in itself and it’s so good!

They make theirs with wagyu beef but honestly as we were eating it we both agreed you don’t need to use pricey wagyu beef at all because it’s the combination of all the different flavors that get melded together that makes it so amazing.

So for my version I just picked up some good quality ground beef from my reputable butcher, it was 85% lean and 15% fat.  You could do a mixture of meats if you like but I wanted to stick strictly with beef to stay close to the flavor profile that we had in the restaurant.

The rest of the ingredients are exactly how I make my own meatballs, I always use grated romano cheese, dry and wet bread breadcrumbs, sauteed onion and garlic, fresh parsley, eggs, salt and pepper.

What You Need

Ingredients :

- 1 lb, quality ground beef,85% lean 15% fat
- 2 eggs
- 1 medium onion diced
- 5 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 hunk of day old Italian bread moistened with water or milk and squeezed out
- ⅓ cup or so of dry plain breadcrumbs
- 1 bunch of fresh parsley, chopped
- ¾ cup of grated pecorino romano
- salt and pepper
- homemade marinara sauce
- fresh ricotta
- fresh basil for garnish

Instructions :

1. In a small pan add olive oil and saute onions and garlic until soft, let it cool

2. Place all the ingredients into a bow, the meat, eggs, cheese, bread, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, pepper, onions and garlic.

3. Mix well and form 3 meatballs, they'll look about the size of a tennis ball.

4. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment and cook them until set at 375 for around 20 minutes or so.

5.Remove and place meatballs into their own individual baking dish.

6. Drench with sauce and top with romano cheese and finish baking in the oven at 375 until internal temp reaches 160.

7. Add a generous amount of additional warmed sauce, a dollop of fresh ricotta on top, a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkling of romano and some fresh chopped basil.

8. I highly recommend sliced ciabatta bread, drizzled with olive oil and placed under the broiler or in a 400 degree oven until nice and golden to accompany your meatball.

How to Make a Homemade Facial Mud Mask

Things You'll Need :
- 1 tablespoon milk, filtered water or cooled green tea
- Bowl
- 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
- Spoon
- 2 tablespoons cosmetic clay
- 1 egg white
- 3 drops of chamomile, apricot or rose essential oil
- Facial cleanser
- Soft towel
- Washcloth
- Moisturizer

Step 1:Pour 1 tablespoon of milk, filtered water or cooled green tea into a bowl. If your skin is dry, use milk. If it’s oily, use water. Use green tea if you’re looking for an anti-aging effect to combat wrinkles and fine lines.

Step 2:Add 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel and mix well.

Step 3:Stir in 2 tablespoons of cosmetic clay. Add the clay gradually and stir constantly as you’re adding it.

Step 4: Mix in one egg white and a few drops of chamomile, apricot or rose essential oil. Stir well with a spoon to thoroughly mix all the ingredients.

Step 5: Wash your face well with your regular facial cleanser. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel.

Step 6: Spread the mask onto your face using your fingers. Apply the paste in a thick layer, avoiding the lips and eye areas. Follow up by moisturizing your skin.

Step 7: Leave the mud mask on your face for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse it off with a washcloth and warm water.

Homemade Mud Mask Recipes:

1. Fuller’s Earth Mud Mask For Oily Skin:
Mix together 2 teaspoons of Fuller’s earth with 1 tablespoon rose water, 1 teaspoon honey, and 2-3 drops of tea tree oil. Mix well, and apply to cleansed face evenly.

2. Green Clay/ Fuller’s Earth Mask For Acne Prone Skin:
mix 1 ½ tablespoon of clay with 1 tablespoon rose water. Mash up a 2 inch piece of cucumber, or use a mixer to do this, and add it to the mud-rose water paste. Apply this mask to your face to soothe the skin instantly.

3. Revitalizing Mud Mask:
1 tablespoon Pink clay, 2 tablespoons rose water, 1 drop essential Neroli oil (available at Fab india) or Orange oil. Mix all ingredients together to get a smooth mask.

4. Anti-Ageing Mud Mask:
1 tbsp Red clay, 2 tbsp oatmeal, 3 tbsp rose water, 1 drop Neroli essential oil, 1 drop Rose essential oil, 1 teaspoon mashed avocado/ ripe banana. Mix together all ingredients in a bowl, till you get a smooth paste.

5. For Combination-To-Oily Skin:
mix together 1 tbsp Fuller’s Earth clay with 2 tablespoons of fresh aloe vera gel, and apply to the face.

6. For Dry To Normal Skin:
mix together 1 tbsp White Clay, 1 tbsp honey, and 1 tsp glycerine to form a gentle, moisturising clay mask.
